Tomorrow's Reaching Home Advocacy Day events have been canceled.
Connecticut's Capitol is closed to all non-legislative events due to coronavirus prevention measures.
Good morning,
It has been announced that "Legislative leaders closed the Capitol complex indefinitely Monday [March 9, 2020] to all non-legislative functions, an effort to eliminate hundreds of visitors daily to combat the coronavirus crisis."
As a result, our Reaching Home Advocacy Day has been cancelled and you should not plan to come out to the Lyceum tomorrow morning as previously planned.
We are working now to brainstorm some potential remote advocacy strategies that we can still engage in and will keep you all posted.
Thank you for your time and commitment to advocating for the resources and supports our state needs to make homelessness rare, brief and one-time in Connecticut.
Sincerely, Kiley Gosselin Executive Director, Partnership for Strong Communities
