Hey there, Daniel! November is here, and we've been busy as ever helping ALICE families thrive. But guess what? There's still more work to do. Here's the latest you need to know so you're ready to make a difference.

The latest report shows that CT now has a record number of ALICE families

  • 13% spike in the number of ALICE families from 2019-2022, resulting in a total of 564,000 ALICE households across every zip code
  • 50% of most common and available jobs in our state pay less than $20/hr

Our state budget is stronger than ever

  • $4 billion in the budget reserve fund - it's maxed out
  • 6 years of consecutive revenue surpluses

The 119K Commission publishes Young People First to end the crisis of youth disconnection

  • These young people are ALICE, struggling every day to stay on track with school or work
  • Improving United Way of CT's 211 service and expanding child tax credits are included in their recommendations

Early voting is underway across CT for the first time and turnout is greater than expected

  • Polls are open now through Sunday from 10am-6pm and again on Tuesday from 6am-8pm - visit MyVote.CT.gov for all the details
  • Remember, your state legislators are on the ballot, too!

If you have any questions or ideas, I'd love to hear from you!
