Congress is looking to approve another round of COVID-19 relief legislation in the next month or so. PCOA, like other Area Agencies on Aging throughout the State and County, have been fortunate to have received funds from other federal stimulus funding bills. But the need far outweighs the funding increases we've received.

Funds from prior stimulus packages have gone directly to increase meal delivery through Pima Meals on Wheels and other meals programs, increasing access to services from residents of long-term care facilities, expanding our grocery shopping program, and more. These services have played a critical role in allowing older people in Pima County to stay home and isolate from the Coronavirus.

We need your voice today. We need your help in telling our federal lawmakers how critical it is that Area Agencies on Aging, through the Older Americans Act, are included in this next round of COVID-19 relief funding. Most importantly, we are asking for additional funds for Title IIIB supportive services to ensure that community organizations, like PCOA, can do our part in helping at risk and hard to reach older adults to get their vaccines.

Please take action today and do your part in helping older adults to get the services they so desperately need in Pima County.
