Creating communities that nourish children

New guide helps communities feed kids during school closures

Schools and communities across New Jersey are finding innovative ways to feed children while schools are closed during the coronavirus pandemic. We commend districts for all their efforts! To bolster those efforts, Food Research & Action Center has created a guide that describes various options for school districts and community partners to serve meals during the current school closures. Schools and nonprofits should consult with the NJ Department of Agriculture prior to serving meals to ensure meals are eligible for reimbursements. But this guide answers common questions about new federal rules during this crisis.
